What is the charging system?
A vehicle's charging system works to deliver electrical energy to the parts of your car that need it to function, including lights, dashboard equipment, radios, and more. This system is made up of three main components: the battery, the alternator, and the voltage regulator. While they each have their own function, they need to work in harmony for your car to properly function. The battery holds a charge that can start your car in the first place. Alternators generate electricity that will then be stored in the battery for later use. The voltage regulator ensures the right amount of electricity is being distributed so that no element is without charge or overcharged and damaged.
